I have been around in the IT industry from more than a decade now, internet and the websites have evolved over a period of time now, it started with those HTML days, when everybody wanted to have a domain and some basic pages up about themselves or their business in terms of their products and services. It is really good to get a day off towards the weekend, especially, when it is a Friday!!! Good friday, started my day by getting up late from the usual mornings, when I need to get ready for my office as well manage my daughters school schedule

Its fun, not to run according to the time for a day, so got my family geared up for a day full of entertainment, though the only way, rather in today's scenario is to watch movie and eat out at a decent restaurant, I preferred taking them to a fun zone, where with kids even parents can have a nice time, they have thteme park for little kids, computer games, where they encourage kids to win tickets and exchange it for toys...
Grabbed some Pizzas and sipped hot coffee, did a bit of shopping around and came back home in the evening.

Recently, I was part of SEO Seminar held in Pune, it was a seminar cum crash course on doing SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). Today one might have a great looking website with lot of Flash, cool graphics and a lot of colors and other cool JavaScript on it. Recently flash has become important aspect of rich media on the net, but it has its own advantages and disadvantages in terms of implementation, I am not going to discuss in this blog.

I am going to share a small tutorial to make a galaxy effect using photoshop simple but great filter.

Note : This tutorial is only for people who are aware with Photoshop Basics.

- Create a Black Background on the base layer, choose a pixel size of your wish, I like 1024 x 768 (72 dpi)

- Create a new layer and name it galaxy.

- In tools panel select gradient (radial) : Foreground(white) to Transperant

- Create big circular gradient approximately 200px diameter and then create 80px and 100px diameter circular gradient across the centre in a random fashion.
NOTE : leave some space of around 200 px from the center gradient.

- Continue creating till the canvas (black in color) is crowded.

- On the same layer(galaxy), choose Filters>Distort>Twirl and apply it to your imagination of a galaxy feel.

I am going to share some of my experiences to have a quick loading of your website and I hope it will help.

Use less of Graphics
With the help of CSS one can have graphical images as background images defined within an external CSS file. The beauty of an external CSS file is that it might be 2 KB sitting on the server holding layout and graphics of entire website.

No Flash files on the homepage
To display flash files on the browser one requires to plug-in and also it’s heavy on the server to be rendered on client’s browser. In case it’s necessary to have a flash file embedded try and have it at the bottom of the page.

Less number of Tables
Always divide a web page into 3 parts horizontally, Header, Body and Footer in their respective tables. This helps is in downloading the page faster as information comes in part by part to the browser and it makes the site load quickly.

Image formats
Jpg, Gif and PNG are the formats which are widely used on websites. Depending upon the nature of graphics an image format should be chosen. Like a vector file with not more than 10 colors in it should be a GIF file and not a JPG. Choosing a wrong image formats increases the file size again.

UNITED SIKHS assisted in the production of a special compact disc set of Gurbani ucharan and English interpretation to commemorate 400 years since the revelation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The CD, based on interpretation by Rajinder Singh (Hayes, UK), features Jap Ji Sahib through seven tracks of recitation and interpretation, in addition to Rehiraas Sahib, in four tracks, and Sohila in one track. These tracks are now available for download below. Please forward the URL of our website to all of your relations so that they may be inspired by the message of the Guru.

About Daily Prayers
A Sikh's basic daily prayers are called Nitnem, including Jap Ji Sahib, Jaap Sahib, Tav Prasad Swaiye, Benti Chaupai and Anand Sahib recited in the morning, Rehiraas in the evening, and Sohila before going to bed at night.
CD 1 contains morning prayer (Jap Ji Sahib: tracks 1–7). CD 2 contains evening prayer (Rehiraas Sahib: tracks 1–4) and bedtime prayer (Sohila: track 5).

The amazing amusement part at Devka beach with its multi colored fountain is worth watching.

Strange part is If somebody is spotted having Milk or Juice in the morning the dirty look of people around says that "Look this is not Happening Dude, Chillout with a Beer or couple of Vodka Shots... " so thats the spirit in Daman, when it comes to a weekend or a busy working day.

Bars have live band performing nearly every week entertaining the crowd. One of the major reason people reach their from Bombay, Gujarat and near by places to enjoy the show.

Mr. Gordhandas, of Mumbai, India, is recognized as having one of the largest collections of playing cards in the world with over 5000 packs in his possession.

His collection has been featured in the Limca Book Of Records every year from it's inception in 1990 through the present. In 1996 he was awarded a "Person Of the Year Award" by the Limca Book of Records in recognition of his extensive card collection as well as his efforts in reviving the dying art of Indian Ganjifa card making.

His collection will be soon diplayed on TM Cards.
